Bible Study Books

Today there are many bible study books to aid you in your study of the bible. No matter which one you choose to study, none will ever replace your own thinking and 'gut feelings'. Some people refer to what we know today as “a gut feeling” which is really our conscience. It is through our conscience that God speaks to us.

Let me ask you a question? When was the last time you had a 'gut feeling' and ignored it because it wasn't what you wanted to do or have? And as Dr Phil asks “How did that turn out for you?”

If you are like the majority of people and are pretty 'pig headed' it probably turned out the same for you as it does for everyone else who goes against their conscience. Yucky! Are you over the problems yet or still working through them? It probably doesn't help, but you are not alone.

Every time I have gone against my 'gut feeling' I seem to end up in all kinds of stuff and places I really don't want to be. Then I have to extricate myself as best I can and I usually end up asking for God's help to get me out of it. I hope he never tires of extricating me from all the things he advises me not to get into in the first place.

“There are none so blind as those who will not listen / see”

On the other hand, the things I've often felt I should do or be doing and don't, have later turned out to have been wonderful opportunities I've missed out on because I was either too lazy, too scared or just plain slow.

The suggestion I'm making here is to listen and go with your “gut feeling' simply because that is God's own way of communicating with us personally in a way that we just might learn to listen to one day.
